Bill Haslam is a businessman who served two terms as Republican Governor of Tennessee and two terms as the Mayor of Knoxville. He is now out of office, and not too sad because he gets to spend more time with his 10 grandchildren. Bill says that just because you are out of office doesn’t mean you stop caring about what you are fighting for. This led him to write his new book, Faithful Presence: The Promise and the Peril of Faith in the Public Square. This book talks about the separation of government and religion. Bill joined Senator Marsha Blackburn on the Freedom Rings Podcast to go into more depth about his book and efforts to preserve freedom for his grandchildren.
